About Us

Eric Thorson, founder and owner of Thorson Restoration and Construction, LLC is a 1991 graduate of Bridgewater State College with a Bachelor of Science Degree. Eric started Thorson Restoration that same year and has steadily grown the company and it’s core staff into the high caliber, award winning building & remodeling firm it is today. Eric is a Licensed Construction Supervisor as well as a Licensed Home Improvement Contractor. He is a key participant in the agendas of The National Association of Home Builders and The Builders Association of Greater Boston. At Thorson Restoration, Eric plays a vital role in driving sales and continually developing the overall direction of the Company. It's not all business though. He truly loves being active with his two sons, whether it's coaching them in baseball and soccer or learning a new trick on their snowboards together.

Robert "Bob" Morrissey Lead Carpenter - with us since 2003. Bob brings a lot to the table with over twenty-five years of professional experience in "high-end" residential construction. Bob's portfolio highlights many beautiful homes on the Cape as well as throughout Southeastern Massachusetts. As a licensed Construction Supervisor with certified OSHA (Occupational Health and Safety Organization) Training, Bob has certainly proven his ability to manage our most technically challenging projects. On a typical day Bob is onsite, tools in hand, supervising the framing phase of one of our Projects. He plays an integral role in maintaining good communications with our clients. On a personal note, Bob enjoys fishing and a basic love of the outdoors. He also works out on the ice in a local hockey league.

Todd Donnelly, Project Manager - with us since 2005. Todd is a 1995 graduate of the University of Maryland with a B.A. in History, has a background in Project/ Facilities Management. Back in 2001. Todd seized an opportunity to apprentice as a Carpenter in San Francisco. After three years honing his skills there he left for a yearlong stay in Baltimore. While in Maryland, Todd focused on fine finish carpentry in historic buildings, including a Vanderbilt Mansion. In 2005 when Todd and his wife relocated to New England, with its rich history and dedication to preservation, it seemed fitting that he would pursue restoration work. Todd's primary function at Thorson Restoration & Construction has evolved from finish work to project management which both require great attention to detail. He makes use of a comprehensive project management software that allows him to schedule and organize tasks for multiple projects with ease and accuracy. When not on the clock, he's often busy restoring his own 1890 Victorian home in Plymouth. On occasion he can be found snowboarding in Utah or backpacking in Spain.
